The HelpHound Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy

1. For consumers posting reviews through HelpHound Dialogue

  1. Your review must refer to your genuine experience and you must be over 16
  2. Only HelpHound will see the email address you give and will use that and your name and any password you use solely for the purpose of processing your post, including
    1. verifying and moderating you and your post

    2. alerting you to the status of your post (eg 'live')
    3. messaging you privately about your post, if necessary, before it is 'live'
    It will not be used for any other purpose or passed to a third party
  3. If 'live', any name you give, your scores and your review will be publicly visible. Any part of your review marked as 'will not be shown' will only be visible to HelpHound and to the business reviewed
  4. Your data will be held indefinitely on our secure servers in the USA, certified as UK and EU compliant for these purposes. You have the right to ask HelpHound to confirm what data we hold and to have it amended or permanently deleted at info@helphound.com
  5. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk about how your data is processed by HelpHound

2. For Businesses and Professionals

  1. those in discussion with HelpHound or with HelpHound already live on their website
    1. We will use your name and contact details and those of any other person in your business solely for the purpose of communicating with you for our mutual legitimate interests and to fulfil your requests and our contractual obligations. This data will be held indefinitely on our secure servers in the USA, certified as UK and EU compliant for these purposes, including messaging you about reviews posted or for invoicing purposes. We may use a software supplier certified as UK and EU compliant for these purposes solely in order to store your data and to send you information. It will not be used for any other purpose or passed to a third party
    2. You have the right to ask HelpHound to confirm what data we hold and to have it amended or permanently deleted at info@helphound.com
    3. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk about how your data is processed by HelpHound
    4. We will do our best to moderate any reviews posted through your Dialogue module without providing you with any guarantees, conditions or warranties as to their accuracy
    5. You must remain compliant with Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) rules regarding reviews and their presentation at all times
  2. those who subscribe to our periodic Newsletter or Blog ('the information')
    1. We will use your data solely for the purpose of sending you the information. We may use a software supplier certified as UK and EU compliant for these purposes solely in order to store your data and to send you the information. It will not be used for any other purpose or passed to a third party
    2. You may unsubscribe at any time and your data removed
    3. You have the right to ask HelpHound to confirm what data we hold and to have it amended or permanently deleted at info@helphound.com
    4. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk about how your data is processed by HelpHound
  3. those who ask for information about our services
    1. We will use your name and contact details solely for the purpose of sending you the information and contacting you subsequently. We may use a software supplier certified as UK and EU compliant for these purposes solely in order to store your data. It will not be used for any other purpose or passed to a third party
